Water-soluble thermoplastic resin "Alcox(R)"

Multifunctional plastic! A unique polymer that combines water solubility and thermoplasticity.

"Alcox®" is polyethylene oxide produced using a catalyst uniquely developed by our company, made by the ring-opening polymerization of ethylene oxide (EO), with a molecular weight ranging from approximately 100,000 to several million. Typically, it is a white powder with good fluidity at room temperature and a melting point of 65°C to 67°C. Unlike polyethylene, it dissolves in water in any proportion, and its unique viscosity is utilized in various applications as an aqueous solution. [Properties] ■ Water-soluble polymer: dissolves in water in any proportion ■ Thermoplastic polymer: can be molded and processed above its melting point ■ Non-ionic polymer: has properties that make it less susceptible to the influence of other chemicals *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.
